About — Claire Hasson

The best problem-solvers aren't born with answers. They're given a toolbox.

My classroom starts with a real question, not a lesson plan, and works backward from there using the engineering design process: define the problem, prototype something imperfect, test it, try again. I want students to leave with more than content. I want them to leave with a toolbox, technology and hands-on skills alike, that lets them meet any challenge with curiosity instead of panic.

What keeps me in this work isn't the projects themselves. It's watching who lights up. It's a multicultural class finding common language through technology. It's the always-online kid getting their first real outdoor learning experience at school. It's the English Language Learner who's been struggling in every other class, finally getting their confidence back because a hands-on challenge gave them a way into what they'd been learning all along.
